Consumer guarantees and warranties are different
Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees are automatic and cannot be taken away. Manufacturer warranties, distributor warranties and extended warranties are extra promises that sit on top of any rights that apply under Australian law.
What warranty information means
Product pages may show an indicative warranty period when the supplier feed provides one or when we can infer it from product data. The final warranty terms can vary by brand, model, region, serial number, registration status, configuration, licence entitlement and support contract.
If warranty length or support entitlement matters to your purchase, ask us to verify it before ordering.
Making a warranty claim
- Contact us through the contact form with your order number, SKU, serial number and fault description.
- Include photos, logs, error messages or troubleshooting notes where safe to share.
- Wait for assessment instructions before shipping equipment.
We may troubleshoot first, coordinate a distributor RMA, refer to a manufacturer portal, or arrange a remedy directly depending on the product and issue.
Data and configuration responsibility
Before sending equipment for warranty assessment, back up data, remove credentials, wipe sensitive configuration where practical, and record settings you may need later. Warranty repair or replacement may erase device data or return a different unit.
What may fall outside warranty
Warranty coverage may be refused or limited for misuse, physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorised modification, incorrect installation, unsupported firmware, expired support entitlement, consumable wear, or use outside manufacturer specifications.
This does not limit any non-excludable rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Business-critical replacements
Advance replacement, loan stock and on-site support are only available where the manufacturer, support contract, distributor or a separate Business IT Supply agreement provides them. If downtime matters, ask us about support entitlement before purchase.
